CommentA great pleasure to capture images of this rare but annual migratory sandpiper to Australia. The Breeding plumage of the male is described as bizarre, it breeds in Eurasia. The sex of this bird is unknown to me.
It was the only one seen amongst Great Knots and other Shorebirds. Feeding on the South Ballina Beach, Ballina, NSW.
Processed in Adobe Raw- Lifted Shadows, Reset Black Point and added contrast and vibrancy with a touch of Saturation. Opened in Photoshop for Cropping Topaz Denoise, Selective sharpening and minor tonal adjustments including selective highlight recovery.
