CommentGrebes are such great subjects, and this one seemed intent on showing off its chick, with both mum and the chick looking directly at me. Not the least bit intimidated, they kept coming toward me. An overcast morning gave a little less contrast and minimal shadows, and although it would have been nice to have better color water, I have left it as it was on the day rather than changing it in Lightroom. This is about a half frame crop from the original image
