CommentI have gone to Yangebup Lake often over the years, especially since 2016, when revegetation and water cleaning was undertaken on a grander scale, resulting in some nice nooks and crannies at the lake, now home to many species of wildlife. During September, honeyeaters frequent some flowering Flame Trees at one end of the lake and many other birds find a home here, including parrots breeding in the dead trees by the shore-line. The introduced Laughing Dove can be readily found breeding in the area, and you may be lucky enough to spot one of their nests and observe their melodious and entertaining courtship. I believe this introduced dove has not spread beyond the borders of Western Australia by October 2022.
