Small and Fast
Challenge yourself photographing the fast-moving small birds. The birds in this competition are restricted to:
Thornbills - 12 species available
Gerygones - 9 species available
Pardalotes - 4 species available
Weebill - 1 species available

 6 May 3 June 4 June 17 June

Honeyeaters
This is the largest family of passerines in Australia, so there will be something for everybody. For this competition we want any bird with “honeyeater” in its name. There are 59 species available.

Monochrome
As bird photographers the majority of our images are rendered in colour. For this competition you are asked to extend your thinking into monochrome and create a work of art. This can be done in camera or using post processing.

 7 October 4 November 5 November 18 November

The first competition for 2025 will be “Best of 2024”; images must have been taken during 2024.
