CommentI particularly like this shot for several reasons. Firstly is the colour palette. All those varying shades of brown make it a very harmonious photo. The pose of this female with the grasshopper in her mouth fill the frame nicely. This was taken late afternoon as a family of wrens were foraging for food and taking them back to a nest, which was hidden in the grasses down low. This was the main perch the birds stopped at to check whether it was safe to continue before quickly disappearing out the back.
