CommentIts quirky behavior and beautiful call makes the Rufous Bristlebird on of the iconic species along our southern coast. I love this early morning shot with the bird beautifully posed in the coastal heath, the dew on both the vegetation and the spider webs, the detail in the bird's plumage and the out of focused heath beyond the subject. He just popped-up above the heath for an instance before disappearing back into the undergrowth.
EquipmentNikon D850; AF-S Nikkor 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR. Hand held.
Post- processing including cropping and noise reduction in Lightroom and DeNoise.
f/7.1; 1/400 sec, ISO 560.
