CommentAfter waiting for over half an hour for a Crake to appear (it didn't), this Little Pied Cormorant dived into this fairly small pool, surfaced and proceeded to dry off first by shaking the water off. I had added a 1.4x teleextender as I was expecting a small Crake to appear and given the sudden arrival of the cormorant I had no time to remove the extender. Hence this is almost a full frame shot taken at 1120mm on a full frame camera. I was pleasantly surprised that I could quickly focus on the bird, increase the shutter speed to capture the droplets of water and take advantage of the back lighting to capture a dynamic image.
