CommentI never knew where this Australasian Darter would resurface after diving and can hardly believe I was able to capture it tossing a Common Galaxias to swallow headfirst. I love the look of its strength as it rises from the water, with duckweed clinging to its feathers; the pose reminds me of a sculpture emerging from its plinth.
