| Comment | I chose to enter this image because I adore the colours on this young Crimson Rosella so appealing. They are so unique. It's not a stage of plumage I have seen before in developing Crimson Rosellas. The patterns of the developing plumage, the eye contact and the memory of the moment I noticed this lovely bird will always be a special image for me. I was at the lake photographing Superb Parrots when this Crimson Rosella landed in the tree near me, right at eye level. S/he successfully took my attention away from the other birds as s/he playfully grazed and posed upside down while I took photos. This image has received a lot of love from others which also makes my heart extremely happy. The curiosity as they try and figure out if the feathers are real or what type of bird they are always leads to great conversations. | ||||||||||||||||||
