I often have to refer to sites to help me to identify the bird/s I have caught in camera. Is this a Golden Whistler, female or juvenile or something totally different. The puffed feathers, of the throat and crown, being display whilst in song?
Help much appreciated.

Hello Ian,

The pale-yellow vent appears to confirm adult female Golden Whistler. The location would help with sub-species and Mangrove Golden Whistler is also a possibility if from Northern Australia.

Cheers, Ian

Thankyou for your response Ian. The location where I sighted the bird is on the NSW Central Coast, Ourimbah RTA Reserve. This is an area being re-vegetated by a land-care group adjacent to the M1 motorway.
Golden Whistlers are known at this site.
Thanks again for your help.
