CommentNB: The background skies of this image were replaced in Photoshop CC 2020, which renders the image unsuitable for competition(s), as it does not meet rule stipulations!
On this very rare occasion I got everything right in the camera: panning, focusing, exposure and a suitably low ISO, though I did have the camera in DX Mode. Unfortunately, it was a completely dull and grey morning, and so the image was captured against a uniform, grey sky. I did not think this image deserved to be seen against such dull skies, and the background was hence replaced in Photoshop CC2021 with these nice, blue skies. This delicate operation is beyond me, and I had to press my clever, if somewhat unwilling, son into service under threat of having his mother cutting off his cooked meal supplies. I hope the image is now deemed of the warranted overall standard, though the Photoshop procedure naturally renders it unacceptable for competitions.
The Whistling Kite was photographed diving down to grab an Oblong Turtle but was unsuccessful in spite of several attempts. The morning was a depressing, absolutely dull and grey one, and the background skies in this image have been changed in Photoshop CC2021.
