CommentGusty winds daily and grey scudding clouds have prevented any enjoyable birding pursuits for almost 10 days.
Yesterday I discoverd a more protected walk along the banks of the Barron River.
The reward was dozens of these New Australians - introduced finches - feeding on the tall fine grasses with their abundant seeds.
