I can now announce that there will be a pelagic trip from Port Fairy for participants in Digital Photography in The Bush on Tuesday March 14th next year. You will need to stay in or near Port Fairy on the night of Monday 13th as the boat leaves the wharf in Port Fairy at 7.00 am, returning around 4.00 pm. Port Fairy is 2.30 hours drive west of Geelong on the Victorian coast.

To see images of the seabirds you might encounter on this trip, do a search on the Photogallery under Location for "Port Fairy". Be inspired!

Further information and a link to the form to book your place on the trip will be available on the BLP website soon after registrations open.

Unfortunately, the Port Fairy pelagic trip had to be cancelled as the boat long used for these trips was sold by the skipper before Christmas and was subsequently wrecked on rocks near Port Fairy lighthouse. The only other suitable charter boat at Port Fairy is not available on 14 March. This information was posted on the DPITB 2017 page as soon as this was known, and those members who had registered for this trip were advised directly of the cancellation. We forgot, however, to mention this information here in the Forum topic..
