Yerrabi Pond in Canberra is an unassuming birding destination that rewards me every visit.
Just 20 minutes north of central Canberra is Yerrabi Pond, an urban park where nearly 130 different species have been spotted. The District Park playground is my favourite spot, where you can easily get up close with Superb Parrots, which are not afraid of people and are both ubiquitous and gregarious. I have also gotten my best Red-rumped Parrot photos there too.
I would highly recommend going, you won't be disappointed.
