DPITB Survey:
Following a Committee debrief and in-house evaluation of our March DPITB event at Newcastle, NSW, the Committee has finalised a comprehensive survey to circulate to those of you who attended the event. This survey is current at BirdLife Headquarters where Fiona Blandford is assisting the Committee in preparing the survey for circulation through Survey Monkey. I am hopeful that the survey will be ready for distribution in the next 2-3 weeks.

General Membership Survey:
Similarly, the Committee is developing a second and more comprehensive survey that will be circulated to all our BLP Members and seeks feedback on a number of important aspects of membership, member expectations and membership participation. This is the first time that BLP has undertaken such a task and its importance should not be underestimated.
The Committee encourages all our 750+ members to participate in the forthcoming survey so that we have a much clearer understanding of our membership and your reasons for joining BirdLife Photography. The data will be used to evaluate and prioritise BLP policy, plan events and develop new initiatives.
As with most surveys the average return rate is about 30% and this is considered a good return. I hope will do much better than this, ideally the entire membership - yes I am from time to time an optimist. if you have your say, your views will be considered and as with other organisational surveys, a no-response is considered that you are content with the status quo.
