Thank you Tim & Rodney for hosting the member meet ups. I definitely enjoyed the chance to meet a few members and hear about the interests among the group. Thinking more on the question regarding how we may source information I must say the resources on this page are excellent, especially liked reading through members pages.
These are a few different places that have remained particularly useful in my journey to improving images and have helped make the photographic experience more enjoyable. I would assume others may have similar reference list?
Kim Wormald's website was quite generous in giving the experience of photography and provides so much more than another listing of technical details. The mindset is especially fascinating, linking so well with the groups direction for ethical bird photography - http://www.lirralirra.com?
Roger Clarks page has provided a tremendous amount of technical information, quite useful to digest more about digital photography - https://clarkvision.com/articles/index.html
Australian Photography Magazine, is great for exploring new equipment and technique for general photography. The print media does help to give a sense for image presentation.
In the beginning I found William H. Majoros page handy for stepping through a variety of different aspects - https://www.digitalbirdphotography.com/contents.html
Youtube for post-processing techniques can be excellent, though I am not often careful enough to bookmark all the locations I may have found information. It does tend to take a little bit of digging through different channels.
Looking forward to what comes from the sessions.
Cheers,
Jacob
