These are three photos taken consecutively of sandpipers whom I initially assumed to be a Curlews. However, I was puzzled by what appeared to be a blob at the end of the bills of two of them in one photo, and the possibility that their bills are initially straight but then seem to kink downwards, as is apparently the case with Broad-billed Sandpipers. The photos were taken last Monday at T-Section Lagoon Werribee. Can any wader afficianados help out?

Many thanks, Ian, for confirming these as Curlews. I am increasingly learning more about distinguishing between all these lookalike waders.
Cheers,
Michael
