Hi John,

I wouldn't say that, though my gimball head is murder for making smooth panning video. The birds are in captivity, so it wasn't hard to capture their comings and goings.

As a comparison, I sat for three hours in the rain by one of the ponds at Laratinga last Friday, watching some Freckled Duck fall sleep. No action at all.

This was much easier. :-)

Cheers,
les

Since taking the video, I've found that the birds are two males, of about 4 years of age. There's some good news in the pipeline for them. They will both be given mates in around two months as part of the national breeding strategy. Let's hope this has a successful outcome.
